The Forbes 18 hole championship golf course is located beside the Newell Highway on the northern side of town. A feature of the 6207m Par 72 course is four holes with water crossings. Formally Pro-Am Golf Tournaments were held at Forbes and so it provides a challenging golf course for all golfers.
Golf carts, buggies and clubs are available for hire at the Pro Shop in FGA House. The club runs regular competitions including the $3,000 Forbes Classic, regular veterans days, and a “Sixes” teams summer 9 hole competition to encourage new as well as experienced players. The club encourages membership applications from Juniors through to Veterans and we welcome visitors.
Visitors and Social Groups are always welcomed and well catered for which is evident by the number of return annual trips from various groups.
